Guronsan

GURONSAN C [EFFERVESCENT TABLETS]

COMPOSITION: Each tablet contains:

Caffeine
50,0 mg
Glucuronamide
20,0 mg
Ascorbic Acid (Vit. C)
500,0 mg
Glucuronolactone
30,0 mg


PHARMACOLOGICAL CLASSIFICATION: A33 Tonics

INDICATIONS: A tonic for fatigue.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS: Guronsan C is contra-indicated in patients with hyperoxaluria, peptic ulceration, hyper-thyroidism, hypertension, cardiac arrythmias, or other cardiovascular disease, uncontrolled seizure disorders, insomnia and anxiety disorders as these may be exacerbated.

DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Drop one tablet in half a glass of water. The tablet quickly dissolves producing a good-tasting, effervescent drink. Cold water is recommended for a more pleasant taste. Drink the mixture as soon as the tablet is dissolved. Take one or two tablets daily, depending on the severity of the symptoms.

SIDE-EFFECTS AND SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS: Glucuronamide/GlucuronolactoneNo known side-effects have been reported. Ascorbic Acid [Vitamin C]Large doses may cause diarrhoea, other gastro-intestinal disturbances. CaffeineGastro-intestinal irritation including nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhoea and gastro-intestinal bleeding, insomnia, headache, anxiety, restlessness, dizziness and palpitations.

KNOWN SYMPTOMS OF OVERDOSAGE AND PARTICULARS OF ITS TREATMENT: “Glucuronamide/Glucuronolactone” ComponentTreatment is supportive and symptomatic.“Ascorbic Acid” ComponentDiarrhoea or other gastro-intestinal disturbances. Treatment is supportive and symptomatic.“Caffeine” ComponentOverdosage or idiosyncrasy may lead to agitation, anxiety, confusion, delirium and convulsions. Headache, vomiting, dehydration, fever, tinnitus and urinary frequency may occur. Severe toxicity may not be preceded by milder symptoms.TreatmentIn cases of overdosage, consult a doctor immediately. Treatment is supportive and symptomatic.

IDENTIFICATION: A flat yellowish-while bisected tablet with bevelled edges. A logo and letters “C S K”appear engraved on one side.

PRESENTATION: Polypropylene tubes containing 10 tablets.

STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS: Since the tablets are not to absorb moisture, the container should be sealed tightly after each use and kept in a dry place. Store below 25°C.
